Commodity Supplemental Food Program
Extra groceries to help
Montana’s Commodity Supplemental Food Program provides a free monthly food box to eligible adults aged 60 and older. These extra groceries add to the food you already buy and help your budget go further. Each box includes nutritious staples to help you prepare meals and eat well at home.
Who can receive help?
You may qualify if you are age 60 or older, live in Montana, and meet the program’s household income guidelines. Eligibility depends on the number of people in your household and their income. If you are unsure whether you qualify, our team can help you understand the requirements.
What’s in the food box?
Each monthly food box includes a variety of nutritious foods to add to your regular groceries. Items may include canned fruits and vegetables, cereal, rice, pasta, beans, peanut butter, canned meat or fish, cheese, and milk. Foods may change depending on what is available at your local pickup location.
